Alexa... pause. Alexa... stop! ALEXA... STOP!

Sound familiar? #same

We've had Amazon's Echo for a little over a year now and it's safe to say we're can't live with her and we can't can't live without her. For example, just a month after getting her, I crawled into my hotel bed at the Pittsburgh Ace, all the lights on, and gently said, "Alexa, turn off the lights." I was so mad when I realized I wasn't at home and had to get out of bed to switch everything off myself.

In our household, we use Alexa primarily for controlling the lights, Spotify, and setting timers. And she gets the occasional question about the time, the weather, and when stores close. I know there are plenty of other uses out there, but those are the ones that have stuck. I'm so curious though, how do you use Alexa? Domnio'sUber, or maybe more NSFW stuff?

Amazon also just announced some pretty big upgrades to Alexa. The main unit is called the Amazon Show. It's basically an iPad. It has a screen and camera and speakers and you can video chat with people or watch youtube videos easily. I'm so torn over it though, mostly for privacy reasons. The part of me that wants convenience wants to order like 5 Shows so all my fam has them and we can pop into each other's living rooms and stay in touch better. The other part of me that believes we live in a dystopia at this point is convinced the government and hacker spies are going to use it to watch my every move and eventually control me. And since Mark Zuckerberg covers his computer's camera, I don't think this paranoia is unfounded.

There's also a new product that works with your Amazon Echo called Look. Now this thing is a camera meant to help you capture your #ootd. And since there are 126M posts on Instagram with that hashtag, I guess it's not crazy to think people will buy it. But again, now Amazon gets to have pics of what I look like every day? Ugh. And the entire espionage community?

Word on the street is that Look will eventually help Amazon send you perfect fitting clothes because it'll know your dimensions and how things fit. Again, super creepy and super cool. So what do you think?? Say something in the comments below or say hi on Insta!
